We have our winners in the Zombie Orpheus Entertainment contest!

A big congratulations go out to Ben, Ian, Matthew and Julie!  They’ve each won themselves a high def. download of either Gamers: Dorkness Rising or JourneyQuest Season 1.

Also a huge thanks to the folks at Zombie Orpheus Entertainment for making this possible. There are still four days left (as of this post) to head over to their Kickstarter project. They’re raising funds to film the 2nd season of JourneyQuest and look to be doing very well at it! For as little as a buck you can secure backers only access and their undying love! Add a little more and get some pretty awesome rewards.

For those who didn’t win, you can grab your very own downloads right at DriveThruRPG. They come in both SD and HD flavors and are completely, 100% DRM free!

Tracy just reviewed Iron Dynasty – here’s your chance to win a copy and get some other discounts!

Look! Quick, before it moves away! It’s a flash contest!  Want to win your very own copy of Iron Dynasty (PDF)?  That’s a $15 dollar value!  Just go read Tracy’s review of the PDF. When you’ve read it, leave a comment telling us why you should be given a free copy of this game.

I’ll pick two random winners by the end of the day today (most likely before 3pm EST).  In order to collect your prize, you’ll need to be able to log in to DriveThruRPG.

Not good enough for you?  Chances to slim? Here’s a code that will get you 20% off of Iron Dynasty and these other titles! Use AfterGenConGlow2011 and put it in the coupon field when you check out.

The Robopocalypse is coming – Steven Spielberg is doing the feature length film, will you do the short?

Every now and again I see something in the literature world that catches my eye. A neat cover, a cool concept, the ability to pull Steven Freaking Spielberg in to direct a movie adaptation. Robopocalypse has all of these. And now, it has a contest that features you as the director to make a video trailer for the book!  Find out the complete details and rules on the Robopocalypse Facebook page and read on for an overview with nifty links!

Robopocalypse is a novel by Daniel H. Wilson and it’s getting some pretty cool sounding advanced praise.

The robots are coming! And they won’t stop until each and every one of us are crushed under their steely treads. We at Doubleday plan to welcome our shiny metal overlords, and to do it right, we’ll need a video trailer as electrifying as they are.

We need your help—and we’re willing to pay handsomely for it. Create and submit a video inspired by Daniel H. Wilson’s new novel ROBOPOCALYPSE, and you could win one of three cash prizes:

Grand Prize: $750
First Prize: $500
Second Prize: $250

Enjoy it now! Money won’t be worth much when they come.

Your video must be either 30 seconds or 60 seconds in duration and in one of these accepted formats: “MOV,” “MP4,” “WMV,” “FLV,” or “AVI”.

Your video must feature the book shot of ROBOPOCALYPSE somewhere within. Download this, an excerpt of the book and other resources here. Submit your video here on or before May 13, 2011.

International Dragon Dice contest winners

We have our winners in the International Dragon Dice contest!

Three lucky people will be slapped back to 1995 when TSR was THE gaming company and Dragon Dice were almost THE next big thing.

Sascha Jarman and Greg a.k.a. Shinobicow are our USA winners!

Francois B from Canada is our international winner!

Still sealed in original, slightly dusty plastic

Congrats to all and stay tuned for our next contest, which probably won’t happen until after the holidays.

Reminder – 2 days left to enter the International Dragon Dice contest!

It’s been a few weeks since our last contest sent four new Dungeons & Dragons Essentials products off to a lucky winner. That means it’s time to give some more stuff away. So I invite you to come on a journey with us. Travel back to 1995 when CCGs were new, TSR was old and Dragon Dice were the next thing that never was.

Win yourself some Dragon Dice

Roll me

It’s been a month or so since I came in to possession of 9 unopened boxes of TSR’s Dragon Dice (read about that in the link above), still in the original shrink wrap. Along with the base sets, I also came in to three booster packs of Elemental dice. Since that time, I’ve exposed one of those boxes to the open air and the rest have laid dormant in my office, waiting for something cool to happen.

Now, something cool is happening. I’m going to give three lucky winners their own sets of Dragon Dice! Each winner will get enough dragon dice to create several armies, including one of the Elemental packs of boosters. One of these winners will be outside of the US as well, so those folks who follow us from abroad can get a chance at their own set of dice.

Here’s how to enter. Simply send an email to us and let us know where in the world you are, and you’ll receive one entry. Want to score more than one entry? There are two ways to do that and get yourself up to 5 entries total, so hold of on sending that email.

To get two additional entries, head on over to our forum and tell us in 200 words or less something about your dice. What you have, what you’d do with your dragon dice, your favorite, lucky die. Whatever you want to say. Send us a link to your forum post in your email to verify that it’s you doing the posting.

Get another two entries by tweeting the following: RT @trollitc Win yourself some Dragon Dice! They came out in 1995 and now they can be yours! Ends 11/30/10!

Just be sure to put your @twitter identity in your email as well so we can verify it’s you.

This contest will run until Tuesday, November 30th. We’ll do our level best to get the winners their dice before the holidays hit. All entries will be assigned a number based on when we received them. Winners will be chosen by a random number generator. One of the three winners will be located outside of the United States. Please note that one of these boxes going out will be the box opened and reviewed earlier. Everything is still there.

The Rules

  • Only one email entry per person please. If you forgot to include an entry in your initial email, you can send us another one.
  • All decisions regarding the winners are final.
  • You can’t write for Troll in the Corner and enter this contest.
  • This contest is open to anyone I can legally ship these books to, anywhere in the world. It’s up to you to make sure I can do that though! (Shipping from the US). I can’t be held responsible if for some reason I can’t ship these to your country.
  • I can’t be responsible if the US Postal Service screws up.
  • Contest ends Tuesday, November 30th at 11:59 PM EST. Any entries received after that will not be considered.
  • Make sure you use a valid email address that you check! That’s how I’ll be contacting the winners. On that note, I will not be selling, keeping or using these emails for any other purpose than this contest.

Good luck!
