Kick The Box
Nov. 25th Edition
After scouring the Kickstarter pages, this week’s Kick The Box theme, unintentionally, seems to be sanity. Two Cthulhu Mythos based games, one board and one card. A Munchkiny sanity game and some magical politics all make the cut for this weeks picks.
Update: My wallet took a big hit as three big campaigns ended this last week. Brew Crafters ended with over $87,000 as it’s final pledge level. Journey: Wrath of Demons closed it’s campaign with over $425,000 as it’s final pledge total, and Shadows of Brimstone ended it’s campaign with a whopping $1,341,305 funds.
Project by:The Mage Company
What would a tabletop game look like if you cross Steampunk theme with the Cthulhu Mythos? I’m bettin’ a lot like Mage Company’s Machina Arcana. After a successfully ran campaign with Shadows over the Empire, Mage Company looks to be repeating that success with one of their two games on Kickstarter right now.
Machina Arcana is a 1-4 player cooperative board game with 26 unique monsters borrowed from the Mythos with four monster levels, 90 Steampunk Items with three item levels and several events and scenarios.
Enter the world of Machina Arcana at your own peril and risk
Shipping within the US is included. Add $20-$40 depending on pledge level for shipping outside the US.

In the hobby of modern day tabletop gaming and pop culture in general, the significance of the Cthulhu Mythos created by H.P. Lovecraft can not be denied. From it has spurred many an imagination of alternative worlds filled with monsters of the unknown.
This is no more apparent than in Dominic’s works of Cthulhu Britannica:London. CB:L is a project of magnificent size and magnitude for the Call of Cthulhu RPG.
I think you could also use this as a helpful compendium to the Raider’s of R’yleh RPG that was recently successfully funded on Kickstarter also.
If your ready for your investigators and characters to enter London, Cthulhu style, than this is a must have for any GM.
Shipping costs vary with pledge level and location.

Politics and Education. The two have gone hand in hand since the dawn of time. Add some magic and beautiful artwork and you have Argent: The Consortium.
You and your fellow magic wielders are all candidates for Chancellorship. Use your resource management skills, spells, and apprentices to sabotage your rivals and learn the the motives of the secret Consortium so you know what is necessary to sway their vote your way.
This 2-5 player game should scratch the itch of any Euro/American hybrid theme heavy gaming session that may need scratching. Play time is approximately 30 minutes per player.
Shipping in US is included. Add $30-$50 for shipping outside of the US, depending on pledge level.
If you and your gaming group are fans of ‘take that’ games like Munchkin, than Bedlam might just be up your dark alley. Bedlam is a 2-4 player card game that will have you fighting enemies like ‘Mysterious Leftover’ and ‘Poultrygeist’ and than your “friends” can pile on Stuff, Effects and Events cards as they like until a yellow card is placed. This starts the ‘Face The Music’ phase.
Resolve the sanity and health damage and collect your rewards and than move onto the next phase. Insanity and Chaos awaits you in the land of Bedlam.
Shipping is included in Australia. $12-$30 needs to be added for shipping outside of Australia.
