Let me be the first to say on this post that I very much want this game. Of course, I have to get a PS3 first. So Sony Execs, if you’re reading this, use the contact form to get my address and send a couple of the new slims over my way, would you.
Just look at this video! It’s like. . . every RPG on a computer/console should be. Other publishers take note – we want more of this style of game.
Not to long now and it can be yours.
“Wow,” exclaimed Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Atlus, pausing for a brief moment to catch his breath and wipe his brow before continuing. “That was a rousing trailer; it really got me excited for Demon’s Souls. Not only is there a ton of praise from respected folks in the industry, but there are also numerous new clips of sweeping in-game cinematics, visceral combat, and atmospheric exploration gameplay footage. I’d go so far as to say it’s a ‘must-see’ video, although I should add that I’m being paid to say so.”
Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 3 system is scheduled for North American release on October 6, 2009. The Standard Edition will retail with an MSRP of $59.99, and the Deluxe Edition, which includes a 160-page strategy guide and collectible slipcase, will retail with an MSRP of $69.99.
Fans who pre-order at select North American retailers will receive a 40-page, full-color art book AND a music CD featuring the game’s full soundtrack (secured on the inside back cover of the art book). The disc, which offers 24 tracks totaling 71 minutes from the game’s haunting orchestral score, represents the complete Demon’s Souls soundtrack, available for the first time as part of this exclusive North American promotion.
