I Love Sarah Jane is a film about burgeoning love, coming of age and the zombie apocalypse

Through various strange and esoteric searches that had nothing to do with young love or zombies, I somehow stumbled on I Love Sarah Jones – an amazing short film (about 14 minutes) written by Spencer Susser & David Michôd.

I remember my first crush as a very young man and I’m certainly glad I didn’t have to contend with a horde of undead at the time as well.  As a warning, the film is a bit gory and is peppered with prebubescents swearing – so use headphones if you’re at work.  It’s also got a bit of humor to it and on the whole is pretty damned awesome.  Take away from it what you will.

I’ve watched it once the whole way through and now want to see it again to catch the small stuff.

As an added bonus, the young lady in the film is the same young lady you’ll be seeing as Alice in Tim Burton’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
