Project London is independent Science Fiction film at its coolest

When we did our interview with Jen Page of Gamers: Dorkness Rising (and many others) fame, we mentioned an upcoming project of hers – Project London.

This looks amazing for several reasons.  It’s a SciFi film which is always a good start.  It’s also a home-grown, independent film driven mostly by volunteers.  Even more impressive, there are about 500 visual effects shots, composed via Blender and done by 3D artists around the world.

We’ve been talking with the folks at Project London and we’ll be giving this project a lot more coverage in the future as they gear up for a release of their film.  For now, here are a few teaser videos which were created in an effort to attract more artists familiar with Blender. The Project London team were successful in this!

  1. We are working as fast as we can to finish the film, hopefully this year. All indications lead us to believe our visual effects will be done in late September and then we need to spend some time on audio.

  2. Looks great, I’ll be quite anxious to know when I can see it, Star Trek aside, there haven’t been many sci-fi flicks recently that have caught my interest.

  3. Haha! I hear you folks have a project forthcoming that has our favorite actress in it as well. 🙂 We’ll be hearing more on that shortly here at TC.
