Four new Blood Bowl star players revealed

Cyanide and Focus are giving us four more screens of their star players in the forthcoming Blood Bowl awesomeness.  “Grim Ironjaw – the Troll Slayer, Slibli – the terrifying Saurus, Ripper Bolgrot – the Goblins’ favorite Troll, and finally Headsplitter – the monstruous Rat-Ogre. ”  Note the use of British spelling and Rat-Ogre.

Rat-Ogre.  It just doesn’t get cooler than that.

Once again the Blood Bowl Star Players are under the spotlight! After unveiling the Human, Orc, Elf and Chaos Star Players last week, Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive are happy to release new images of the Skaven, Lizardmen, Dwarf and the Goblin team champions! Let us thus introduce Grim Ironjaw – the Troll Slayer, Slibli – the terrifying Saurus, Ripper Bolgrot – the Goblins’ favorite Troll, and finally Headsplitter – the monstruous Rat-Ogre!

True living legends in the world of Blood Bowl, Star Players are veteran, experienced players of the game. Only offering their services to teams whose treasury is big enough to afford them, their astronomical fees are justified by their astounding efficiency on the field. Able to turn a match around all by themselves, they prove to be real assets for the team that hired them… and a real threat for the opposition!

An ultra-violent mix of Warhammer Fantasy and American football, Blood Bowl allows players to create the ultimate “fantasy” sports teams. Coaches can build bone-crushing teams of Orcs, Wood Elves, Humans, Dwarfs and many more fantastic creatures – then throw them into the stadium for the ultimate blood sport! Blood Bowl is strategic, action-packed and violent, requiring coaches to use their best tactics, team design – and a dose of pure ruthless bloodlust always helps too!

All of these charming creatures are waiting for you to play in highly contested games. Blood Bowl is currently in development and will come out on PC, Nintendo DS™ and Sony PSP™ handheld systems this Summer. Blood Bowl will be released on Xbox 360™ in September.
