Last year I was able to catch up with Gabriel, filmsmith and all around cool guy who was developing Tex: Vampire Hunter (or) Make Thick My Blood: A Tragedy in One Act. The film had a bunch of stuff going for it right from the outset. Vampires. Cowboys. Jen Page. Blood and gore. All the good stuff.

So, I just got back from watching New Moon with my family, (it’s my Sister-in-law’s birthday) and I have to say, it was better than I thought it would be. Is it worth seeing, assuming you didn’t hate Twilight? Yes, I’d definitely say it is. Overall it improves on its predecessor, and certainly it is better than most of the other movies currently out. New Moon is an entertaining romp of romantic fancy with enough action to keep the guys happy. It’s not high art, but then, high art is rarely fun.

Previously I wrote a bit about a new short coming our way soon. Tex: Vampire Hunter or Make Thick My Blood: A Tragedy in One Act. I caught up with Gabriel, the man responsible for the movie and had a chance to talk briefly about this freaking awesome vampire western. Gabriel started his project through the Seattle Film Institute but it seems to have taking on a life of it's own and grown a bit bigger than a final project. Now it's a full fledged, hand-carved wooden bullet vampire slay fest.
