Age of Zombies = time travel, shooting zombies in the head and retro cuteness
There, I said it. "Cute". Not normally a word I associate with violent death, undead hunger and head shots. Age of Zombies features protagonist Barry Steakfries as he hops through time destroying undead brains, battling what looks like giant robots and there's something about a zombie T-Rex too.

I am watching my daughter (12yrs) play the Mini Ninjas demo on my PS3. She’s been playing for about 1/2 an hour now and is having great fun. Not to long ago our very own Ken wrote a very detailed and positive review of the Japanese game Demon's Souls for the PS3. The game is a ground breaking RPG which fans have had to import at their own cost from Japan. Until now! Atlus games is releasing a native US version of the game with brand new box art. On top of that, they're doing a special edition which will cost a bit less than what it took to import the game from Japan or buy it from a specialty shop.

Demon's Souls is a third person RPG for the PS3 made by From Software in Japan and recently released to the Japanese market. There was a lot of expectation surrounding this game and it landed white hot in the Japanese market selling out in its first day. Does it live up to all the hype? If it is only being released in the Japanese market, why would we care here in the US (or across the pond in Europe for that matter)? Can a Japanese console RPG really be that big of a deal? You have no idea.

Being a geek can mean many things to many people. There are film geeks, computer geeks, theater geeks, you name it. To me it implies the ability to focus on a certain area with great intensity, gleaning great enjoyment out of it. I'm kind of a gadget/toy/game geek myself. As such, I keep an eye out for some good deals for us all. Especially now with the holidays fast approaching.
