My all time favorite game for the DS is just about to get a new installment. Scribblenauts was one of the few games that ate up more than three or four hours on my DS and actually caused a bit of ire between my wife and I as we made desperate run/jumps for it after the kids went to bed.

I've been following Hellion's development for a little while now. I'm much more interested in this game then I was in Dante's Inferno. This is shaping up to be more of an experience and less of a God of War clone. I like that.

I have and always will have a soft spot in my heart for all of Sid's Civ games. Starting with number I I have probably logged a good thousand hours on various Civ franchises and enjoyed every hour. Now there's a new Civilization on the horizon - Civ V! Yes, built on a new engine from 'the ground up' as is standard practice when creating new versions of the game. Looks pretty sharp too. Here are some facts and screen shots. Also in the works - Civ Network, a Civ based game for . . . Facebook? Woah.

Mount & Blade was a game that was first brought to my attention a few years ago when it was just a beta, looking for some love. It took me a while but I finally got around to playing it and now I'm kicking myself for not picking it up much earlier. I've had it now for just over a year and it's one of two or three games I consistently return to when I've finished with The Next Big Thing.

"Green Man Gaming today revealed a new digital games retail platform that monetises the digital pre-owned market." That is straight from their very limited press release and roughly translates into "We'll give you cash or cash-equivalent for your legally downloaded games." Uh. . . wow? That's a new twist on the used game market for sure and could mean I can finally get rid of my older Steam catalog, right?

In what I can only describe as a slight blow to literature everywhere but an interesting opportunity for literate gamers, Dante’s Inferno is being republished. In book form. By Electronic Arts. Oh, with Del Ray (ne Ballantine ne Random House) doing the bulk of the dead tree work. Don’t worry though, the fine folks who brought [...]

Bioware and other assorted involved parties have just announced the first official expansion (read: bigger than DLC) for Dragon Age: Origins. DAO - Awakening! There's not much on the official site as of yet so here's all the info I've got my hands on so far.
