Kickstarter News: Skyway Robbery is over halfway to becoming a funded project. Still not to late to hop on to this corrupted, steampunk cruise liner! Congratulations to Strangelette’s Steampunk and Cthulhu Soundtrack at a little over $8,000!  MAGE Company’s latest Kickstarter, Orcfather, is over 60% funded. Still time to jump into this fantasy mafia card game.

King’s Down

Project By: Saar Shai

Saar Shai, creator and designer of The Agents, has a new Kickstarter campaign that has already more than doubled it’s initial funding level of $50,000. King’s Down pits 2-4 players in an epic showdown for the empty throne.

This chess variant adds spells, abilities, new and  reimagined classic pieces. Players are given four action points that they can use on their turn. Some actions cost more points than others to use. To move a piece costs two action points, while summoning a new piece to the board will cost you all four of your action points. Also drawing cards that will benefit you during your fight for the throne will cost you one action point, and the cost to use the cards varies from card to card. Play continues til one player has achieved eight victory points.

Galaxy of Trian

Project By: CreativeMaster LLC

In this 2-4 player, 4x game, Galaxy of Trian, players will assume the role of one of the galactic alien races. Players will take turns discovering new planets, gathering resources, and uncovering powerful ancient technology left by the Trians.

All the double sided tiles are laced with amazing intricate artwork. Each player will draw one tile on their turn and place it on the board. Different planets, nebulas, teleports, exmitters, and trade stations all offer different abilities that all the players will be able to benefit from.

The game plays in about 45-60 minutes and ends when the last tile has been placed and all the actions used. Count up the victory points and the player with the most wins!

Shipping included for US, Europe, and Canada. All other countries add $30 to the pledge level.

Drinking Dice: Make Any Game A Drinking Game

Project By: Wilbur Massie

16MM 8-Sided Drinking Dice with Pips and Numbers

Where were these during our gaming camping trips?

Drinking Dice turns any game that has a ‘normal’ six sided dice into a drinking game. Besides 1-6 on the dice, there are two bonus icons. One is take a drink and one is give a drink. If you roll one of these icons, than you either take a drink, or pick someone else to take a drink and than re roll the dice.

Imagine an evening of adult friends playing  games such as Las Vegas, Cubist, Settlers of Catan, or Munchkin, just to name a few, with even one of these dice added in. A whole level of chaos and laughter will be added to your night of tasty gaming.

Shipping varies per pledge level.

Pair of Dice Paradise: Season Two

Project By: Chaz Marler

I just wanted to give a shout out to Chad. He has a new crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo trying to raise funds for Season 2 of his video series.

I enjoy all of his videos, from the reviews to his short segments on Dice Tower’s Board Game Breakfast. He has no qualms tackling issues and giving sound advice about a variety of topics that range from forming and conducting your own Meetups(Which I have found very helpful) to helping introverts with their social fears in the gaming community. All well thought out and helpful information that you won’t find anywhere else.

That’s it for this week! Check back next week as I continue to uncover all the gems on the crowd source funding front so you don’t have to get your hands dirty! Leave any comments and suggestions below and we will be back next week. Until then, Keep playin’ to be playin’!
