This year’s Extra Life campaign is live! I’ll be playing table top games for not 24 hours  but 25 hours straight to raise money for Children’s Hospitals. Please check out my Extra Life page and DONATE!

Victory Point Games have sent us several games to be added to our play and give away pile! I’d like to call your attention to two games Victory Point Games publish that look interesting.

darkest

First, Darkest Night which looks to be a fantastic co-op set in a fantasy world. Darkest Night, by designer Jeremy Lennert, is a fully-cooperative board game for up to four players, set in a kingdom broken under a necromancer’s shadow.  Each player takes on the role of one of the kingdom’s last heroes (nine playable characters), each with a unique set of special abilities, just as they hatch a plan to save the realm.

tenka

Second, lets look at Tenka (2nd Edition). A fast paced card game set in medieval Japan. In Tenka, each player takes the role of a local baron in the chaos of medieval Japan. The Emperor is powerless and the office of his sworn protector, the Shogun, is an empty shell. The realm is in turmoil as rival Daimyos struggle for control.

As with all of the publishers lending a hand in this, I’ll be handing off at least one of these games to my team members to encourage them to play! They in turn may be giving them away to folks at their own events, to encourage them to play!  What it really boils down to is that we’ll have more people excited about this event, which means more chances to raise more money. As always, any amount will help! Every dollar given is tax deductible and 100% goes  to the hospitals! Just click the banner below to donate. And don’t feel silly about donating $1 if that’s what you can do. Every donation counts!

About Ben

I'm a geek. A nerd, a dweeb, whatever. Yes I owned garb, yes I still own medieval weaponry. And yeah, I could kick your butt in Mechwarrior the CCG. I love video games, role playing games, tactical board games and all forms of speculative fiction. I will never berate someone for wanting to be a Jedi and take everything Gary Gygax ever wrote as gospel. Well, all of this but that last bit.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
