I just want to take a moment to say that we’ve all heard the stereotypical unclean geek stories.  Hell, I’ve gamed and hung out with a massive number of geeks – and I’ve seen the basis for these stereotypes.  Tthe vast majority of us geeks are clean, nice smelling, die rolling, dragon killing folk.

Whether you’re a shower twice a day kind of geek or a wipe down when the mood strikes you kind of geek I’ve found something that will strike your ‘oh cool!’ nerve.

Yesterday I stumbled on Geeky Clean!  They offer all natural, vegan safe soap that smells pretty darned good.  Many of their products also come with handy 20 sided dice embedded in them.  Or toy monkeys.

From their site:

We’re proud to say that Geeky Clean! soaps are NOT tested on animals, and are Vegan safe. Our soap is made from:

Propylene Glycol (Comes from glycerol, a natural moisturizing material) Water Sodium Stearate (Natural fatty component to soap, vegetable base) Glycerin (Humectant, naturally produced during soapmaking process) Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Derived from Coconut Oil, natural cleansing agent) Sorbitol (Found in ripe berries from mountain ash trees, adds creaminess) Sodium Myristate (Foaming agent from vegetable fatty acids, natural organic acid) Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (Coconut oil base, Mild surfactant) Triethanolamine (Emulsifier, made from vegetable fat) Vitamin E

No Artificial Preservatives

Our opaque soaps (the skull in Zom-B-Gone or bananas in Monkey Farts for example) contain titanium dioxide

Monkey farts.

I really like products like this – the combination of a useful item and geek craftiness appeals to me.  Hopefully you’ll like them as well because Geeky Clean is sending us a whole bunch of soap to give away!  Good karma and less body odor for everyone!  Just our way of making the world a better place.

We’ll have the details of the give away up next week.  You can win through this here site, or through Twitter.  Stay tuned for the details!

About Ben

I'm a geek. A nerd, a dweeb, whatever. Yes I owned garb, yes I still own medieval weaponry. And yeah, I could kick your butt in Mechwarrior the CCG. I love video games, role playing games, tactical board games and all forms of speculative fiction. I will never berate someone for wanting to be a Jedi and take everything Gary Gygax ever wrote as gospel. Well, all of this but that last bit.
