Hell hath come and it brings with it a furious need to use the word ‘hath’ in an article.  Flying Fish Works is gearing up to release this ‘extraordinary’ first person shooter at some point next year.  To help us warm our hearts near the merry hearth of Hell, they’ve thoughtfully provided the official Hellion – Mystery of the Inquisition website.

They’ve also sent along some more concept art.  I know that concept art is never indicitive of how the actual game will represent itself but this stuff really is gorgeous.  If you’re into dark, hellish imagery which I just happen to be.  We’ve taken an earlier look at this title as well.

They’ve also sent along a new press release.

As the gate to hell is open by today, Flying Fish Works announces the official website for their  upcoming product “Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition”. The authentic platform represents the vision and the fear behind the project and prepares the brave one to face the evil. Starting with new images and insider information about the game’s development, the website will continuously provide valuable content to the community.

“Hellion: Mystery of the inquisition” is an extraordinary First-Person-Shooter set in the 13th century. As an armed man of the newborn Inquisition, the player will battle heretics, execute exorcisms, face demons and unintentionally become part of a political and religious intrigue. It is an epic journey through different medieval cultures full of real-life characters, wild animals, rough warriors, powerful Templar knights, deadly assassins and, ultimately, horrifying demons.

Hellion will launch for PC, PS3 and Xbox360 and will be Polish studio’s Flying Fish Works first title.

There’s a couple of medieval themed games coming forth with Hell as a central player.  This is one that I’ll be keeping my eye on.

About Ben

I'm a geek. A nerd, a dweeb, whatever. Yes I owned garb, yes I still own medieval weaponry. And yeah, I could kick your butt in Mechwarrior the CCG. I love video games, role playing games, tactical board games and all forms of speculative fiction. I will never berate someone for wanting to be a Jedi and take everything Gary Gygax ever wrote as gospel. Well, all of this but that last bit.
