So having all this time on my hands, I investigated rpg’s, imported into australia from play-asia and got this gem.

OMFG! How addicting is it? I’m just getting used to it and have cleared the first act.

I went to a medieval jousting weekend and saw some one on one combat.. this game is nearly so close to the real thing that I saw, I am now hooked on this.. Block, Parry, Swing, Stab, roll, jump back – Not just with same key – you can do any at any time – just make sure you have your stamina or you’ll end up puffing!.. It has something RPG’s dont – it isn’t button mashing, its tactics and each hit and block can be felt through the rumble..
this game has fire explosions.. surround sound roars!.

The flap of a dragon coming to breath and swipe at you while on a castle wall is exhilirating as you must time your run and stamina cooldown, zombies jump out at you in shadows…

Blue eyed death knights swipe you so hard you have to run away if you don’t know how to block…

Red eyed death knights one hit you…arghhhhh. I have died and died and died.. and am enjoying every death as i can now speed through that first level as my skill in fighting increased as I got to know how to do things like block/stab in tight corridors, or run and thrust in the open. Its simple things that are just so coool.

And i haven’t even tried a magic user class yet… thats for the 2nd play through :) 10/10 from someone who has been playing games for 25 years… Last game I was this hooked on a RPG that isn’t WOW was 15 years ago (Dragon stone i think it was called).

This game is so impressive, when you first fire it up your jaw with drop from the visuals, you will be immersed from the atmosphere and if you are a RPG lover like myself, you will be grinning with joy. This game puts itself apart from everything else, and truly makes the ps3 shine.

Why Sony isn’t releasing this elsewhere is crazy…Maybe they thought Americans and Europeans would be turned off from the difficulty and trend of easy-peasy baby games as of late? Maybe they just have too many games to publish too? Who knows, but the Good news is that you don’t have to wait for Sony to bring this over, you can import it now or…..WAIT TIL THE FALL 2009….. It has been announced that:
ATLUS WILL BE BRINGING THIS GEM OF A GAME OVER TO NORTH AMERICA THIS FALL!!! Yes atlus has taken over publishing for english territories, and if you are an atlus game fan, like myself, you can bet that nothing will be cut. These guys deal exclusivily with niche rpgs from the East, they bring us some of the best games. Granted the games may not be mainstream, but you know what, that’s even better, True rpg fans have never been in the mainstream.

This game rocks, and I highly reccomend it to any rpg player out there, hell even action adventure gamers would like this. Just keep an open mind in this game, because death is a big part of the game, you die, but you get better and try a different approach. It makes your experience points mean something (of course in this game , they can be stollen by enemy players entering your game and stalking you…lol…)

The controls are really easy once you understand how combat works within the havok engine too, some people complained but it can’t be more simple than it is.

hk-wan on ebay sold me the one and it took about 12 business days from Hong Kong. It may never show up as a N. America release, From Software never ported 2 PSP games either: King’s Field Additional I & II which are both 1st person dungeon crawlers.

If you like RPG’s, and don’t mind the difficulty level it will be a game you recommend to everyone.

You could always keep an eye on ebay too.
